LG Viewty GT405 cameraphone - silver

LG has launched its latest Viewty mobile handset – the LG Viewty GT – a 5Mp cameraphone which is aimed at keen photographers.

The LG Viewty GT, also known as the GT405, has a 3-inch resistive touchscreen and a 5Mp autofocus camera.

The Viewty GT also comes with a photo-editing app which LG says will allow users to add text or special effects to their images and carry out tasks such as cropping, resizing and adjusting colours and brightness.

LG has also included its Muvee Studio on the Viewty GT, which lets users create slideshows of their favourite snaps while adding MP3 music tracks to play while the shots are displayed.

Free Viewty GT on Three

The LG Viewty GT has a customisable desktop which includes widgets giving one-touch access to frequently used apps. Favourite contacts can be tagged with photos which then appear in the contacts list.

The Viewty GT’s multimedia features include an FM radio and MP3 player. There’s 60MB of internal memory, and a microSD card slot taking memory cards up to 8GB.

LG claims that the battery will last up to 200 minutes of 3G talktime, but we’ll put this to the test when we include the LG Viewty GT405 in our expert lab-based mobile phone reviews.

The LG Viewty GT is currently exclusively available on the Three mobile phone network. Users can pick up a free Viewty GT on new contracts from £15 per month, or the Viewty GT can be bought for £119 on PAYG.
