Toshiba, TomTom and Best Buy offer cash back deals

Top 5 World Cup money saving deals

The 2010 football World Cup is nearly here and Sony, Toshiba, TomTom and retailers Best Buy and Currys are getting in on the act by offering World Cup money saving deals.

Which? has rounded up the top 5 World Cup deals that could save you money when purchasing a new TV, laptop or sat nav.

Offers from Toshiba, TomTom and new electronics retailer Best Buy rely on England winning the World Cup. If you aren’t feeling quite so confident in England’s performance, then Curry’s offer of £10 cash back for each England goal or the Sony trade in scheme may be more appealing.

England expects… a free Toshiba

Toshiba is the official supplier of consumer electronics to the England team and is offering a full refund on Toshiba laptops and TVs if England win the World Cup.

In order to get this deal customers must purchase a laptop with the latest Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor or Toshiba TV before the 10th June and register it on the Toshiba website. The offer applies to purchases made from the 12th April to the 10th June 2010 and the product must be registered on the Toshiba website by midnight on the 16th June.

TomTom World Cup football promotion

TomTom is offering customers who purchase a GO550, GO750 and GO950 sat nav in the run up to the World Cup, the chance to claim the full cost of the device back should England win the final.

The promotion runs from the 15th April to 8th June 2010. To qualify customers must register their purchase and answer three multiple choice questions on the TomTom website between the 15th April and midnight on the 10th June.

Best Buy offer money back on TVs

Best Buy recently opened its first UK store in Thurrock and is offering customers who buy a TV there, costing £499 or more, their money back if England wins the final.

The offer is valid from the 17th of April until the 5th of June and customers must register their purchase before the 10th June. According to Best Buy this can either be done online or with the printed registration leaflet you receive in store.

Currys is giving customers £10 cash back for every goal England scores in South Africa, when purchasing any TV in-store worth £599 or more.

TVs must be purchased between 29th April and the 11th June and customers must register online within 3 days of purchase. The offer does not apply to goals scored in penalty shoot outs.
