Official imports begin in 2011

Official imports also get official Chevy warranty

General Motors UK has confirmed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that the Chevrolet Camaro will be officially imported to the UK from 2011.

The Chevrolet Camaro was launched stateside in 2009 and has sold more than 200,000 units to date.

It is the second most revered American muscle car in history – first place will always belong to the iconic Ford Mustang – and its tyre smoking status looks likely to be upheld in the UK thanks to the arrival of the range-topping 6.2-litre V8. The 426bhp Chevrolet Camaro accelerates from 0-60mph in less than 5.0sec and has a limited top speed of 155mph.

Full UK specification will be announced nearer the car’s on sale date, but Chevrolet has confirmed the car will come with a full UK warranty. All potential buyers can register their interest on Chevrolet’s official website.
