MFI returns to the high street

Flat pack giant makes a comeback

MFI was one of the big casualities of the credit crunch and a new deal will see its name return to the high street – but will it be better than last time?

MFI was a home improvement and flat pack furniture giant – but it wasn’t popular with Which? members.

When we surveyed Which? members just before MFI went out of business at the end of 2008, MFI got one of the lowest customer satisfaction scores in the home and garden sector.

MFI ‘refreshed’

A company called Walker Group has bought the rights to the MFI name for £250,000 and says: ‘MFI is being specifically refreshed to offer a more innovative and design led product range and shopping experience, whilst continuing the tradition of offering great choice and value for money backed up with first class customer service and support.’
