Zanussi has revealed a new built-in microwave with grill, the ZNM21X, that its claims will cook food quickly and leave it well-browned.
The ZNM21X is a built-in microwave, which means it can only be installed in a fitted kitchen with the right-sized gap. It’s a 900 watt model, comes with eight auto-cook programs and it can be set at five power-levels.
It’s roomy inside with a claimed capacity of 26 litres. There’s an LED display, a quick start function and it comes with a child lock to prevent small fingers from inadvertently changing the settings.

Easy to clean
Zanussi tells us that its latest model should be easy to keep clean inside, while the outside is clad in fingerprint-proof stainless steel. The ZNM21X will be in the shops in May 2011.
Which? microwave expert Matt Stevens says: ‘If you have the right kind of kitchen, a built-in microwave will look great. And you can really expand your microwave-cooking repertoire by choosing a microwave with a grill function. They’re excellent for the kind of dishes that you don’t normally associate microwaves with – grilling bacon is easy and you can even cook your Sunday lunch in one.
‘The new Zanussi ZNM21X looks the part, but some grill microwaves really don’t make the grade – we’ve tested great looking grill models from well known manufacturers that aren’t at all effective in microwave mode. When this one hits the shops, we’ll send it to our test lab and publish the results in our microwave review.’
