Ideal Home Show 2011: Three weirdest gadgets

We round up the oddest gadgets on show

Le Whif inhalable vitamins

Le Whif inhalable vitamins

From inhalable vitamins to weighing scales that tweet your weight to the world, there were several weird gadgets on offer at the Ideal Home Show.

Here are the top three weirdest gadgets we saw:

1. Breathable vitamins

Le Whif inhalable multi-vitamins are ‘the easy way’ to get your recommended daily dose of vitamins, apparently. Available in three flavours – antioxidant green tea, multivitamin hibiscus tea and – they are absorbed through the lining of your month.

And for those who need a chocolate or caffeine hit, Le Whif also offers chocolate and coffee inhalers.

2. Tweeting scales

Want the world to follow your diet successes (and failures)? Well now it can with the Withings Tweeting scales.

As well as displaying your weight, fat content, the weight of your bones and how much of your body is muscle – they will also tweet your results on Twitter for all to see.

3. Splash back saver

Before visiting the Ideal Home Show, we were unaware that toilet splash back was a major problem – but Egglu says it is and that everyone who has a toilet should get one of its anti-splash balls.

Egglu says its anti-splash ball – essentially a large plastic egg that you place in your toilet bowl – will not only prevent the discomfort an embarrassment of water splash back, but also reduce noise, reduce blockages and improve cleanliness and hygiene.

We thought it looked a bit like a child’s toy that had accidentally found its way into the toilet, but if you’re suffering splash back stress, perhaps it could help.
