Toyota is helping new Yaris buyers offset the spiralling cost of motoring with a unique free fuel offer.
Any new Toyota Yaris ordered in April, and registered before 30 June, will get six months’ free fuel. The offer includes both diesel and petrol models: the current Yaris range includes 1.0-litre and 1.33-litre petrol engines, plus a 1.4-litre D-4D diesel.
Toyota says the offer will save buyers more than £500 at the pumps, based on today’s fuel prices.

Toyota ‘fuel card’
Toyota Yaris buyers will pay for the fuel using a special card that comes with a unique PIN. Customers use the pre-paid card like a regular credit card, at any UK fuel retailer.
It is pre-loaded with £548.15 – this is based on 1,000 miles’ motoring a month, and on a Yaris returning 55.4mpg. The fuel cost is calculated at £1.336 per litre.
This means that if customers can return more than 55.4mpg, or the price of fuel drops below £1.336 per litre (unlikely as that may be), the savings can be stretched.
Not an offer to benefit all?
To get the full benefit of the offer, though, drivers would seem to need to cover higher mileages. The offer is based on six months’ fuel at 1,000 miles a month – but what if you don’t drive such high mileages?
No problem, said Toyota. The card is not time-limited, so will continue to give ‘free fuel’ until you have used up all of the £548 pre-loaded onto it.
High fuel prices inspired deal
‘With the highest petrol and diesel prices we’ve seen for years, it’s the perfect time for Toyota to take the initiative and give our customers a benefit that’s of real value day-to-day,’ said Toyota commercial director Matt Harrison.
He also added that as Toyota Yaris are among the most fuel-efficient superminis in the sector, ‘even when the free fuel has been used up, they will be costing their owners a lot less to run than many of their rivals’…
