Skoda announces new value-added SE Plus trim

New spec covers entire Skoda range

Skoda SE Plus range Fabia Octavia, Superb, Yeti and Roomster

The new SE Plus trim level covers the entire Skoda range

Skoda has introduced a new SE Plus specification level across its entire model range.

SE Plus slots into the line-up between the existing SE and range-topping Elegance trim levels. In addition to offering customers extra value – it represents a saving of up to £1,310 – it will also bring new engines to some Skodas.

Skoda SE Plus: tailored equipment and big savings

Skoda’s new SE Plus specification features additional equipment tailored to each individual range, so here are the full details.

Skoda Fabia SE Plus:

As with all SE Plus models, the Fabia variant is based on the existing SE trim.

Additional items include new Kristal upholstery, tinted privacy glass, climate control, multi-function steering wheel, electric rear windows, additional storage, and a Media Device Interface (MDI) with connecting cable for your MP3 player.

The premium over a regular SE model is £590, but the extra kit adds up to £1,210 in value. Pricing starts at £11,825.

Skoda Roomster SE Plus:

On the Roomster, SE Plus includes 15-inch alloy wheels, that Kristal upholstery again (you’ll spot a trend here), roof rails, climate control, multi-function steering wheel and MDI.

The equipment is worth an extra £945, while the SE Plus premium is £530 – so you’ll effectively save £415. You can buy one from £13,560.

Skoda Octavia SE Plus:

The Octavia SE Plus gains 16-inch alloys, Kristal upholstery, touchscreen sat nav, Isofix child car seat attachment for the front passenger seat, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel and MDI.

That lot is worth a substantial £2,270 – but a premium of just £960 means SE Plus represents a £1,310 saving. It’s available from £16,365.

Skoda Superb SE Plus:

The Skoda Superb SE Plus also gains touchscreen sat nav, Bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel, sunset glass and MDI (no Kristal upholstery here as SE already comes with Alcantara and artificial leather).

The extra kit is worth £2,485, but you’ll pay only an additional £1,210. Prices start at £21,350.

Skoda Yeti SE Plus:

The Skoda Yeti SE Plus features the same touchscreen sat nav, Kristal upholstery, CD changer, Bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel, electric front seats and – exciting – rear passenger folding tables on the back of the front seats.

The additional equipment comes in at £1,310, so the £700 premium saves you £610. The Yeti SE Plus is on the road from £17,410.

New engines for Octavia, Superb and Yeti

For the Octavia, Superb and Yeti, SE Plus specification also introduces new engines.

These are exclusive to SE Plus, and comprise a new 150bhp version of the 1.8 TSI turbo petrol and a 108bhp version of the 2.0-litre TDI turbodiesel. The Yeti gains the diesel only, while the Octavia and the Superb are offered with a choice of both.

Skoda’s new SE Plus models are on sale now.
