Limited Edition Peugeot RCZ Asphalt

Matt grey paint and more standard kit for RCZ

Limted Edition Peugeot RCZ Asphalt

Matt black paint will make the limited edition Peugeot RCZ Asphalt stand out

Peugeot has announced a limited edition version of its RCZ coupé called the Asphalt.

The RCZ Asphalt is based on the range-topping 200bhp GT model, but includes a higher level of standard kit and unique matt grey paint.

Peugeot RCZ Asphalt: unique looks, extra kit

Powered by a 200bhp THP turbo petrol engine, the RCZ Asphalt is certainly likely to turn heads.

Complimenting the ‘Telluric’ matt grey paint finish, the limited edition’s exterior features a black roof, black brake calipers, 19-inch alloy wheels and ‘Asphalt’ badging.

On the inside there is Nappa leather upholstery, an Alcantara/leather steering wheel and gearknob, plus special sill covers and floor mats.

Extra items of equipment include front and rear parking sensors, auto lighting (with ‘approach’ and ‘follow me home’ modes), satellite navigation and a powerful JBL sound system.

Limted Edition Peugeot RCZ Asphalt

The additions come at a price – £4k more than the previous range-topping Peugeot RCZ

Limited edition, premium price

The 200bhp 1.6-litre turbo engine will see off the 0-62mph sprint in 7.6 seconds, return a claimed 40.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 159g/km. Top speed is 146mph.

Just 75 right-hand-drive examples of the Peugeot RCZ Asphalt will be made available to buyers – and they won’t come cheap: list price is £29,995.

That’s a considerable £4,050 more than the RCZ GT model with the same engine. The cost of exclusivity, eh?
