Dylan's Candy Bar buggy introduced by Maclaren

Bestselling buggy manufacturer Maclaren is adding a new limited edition buggy to its Objects of Design collection.

The new Dylan’s Candy Bar buggy is a collaboration with designer sweetshop-owner Dylan Lauren, daughter of Ralph Lauren.

Which? buggy expert Victoria Pearson says: ‘This new buggy is based on the Maclaren Volo frame – Maclaren’s lightest and simplest design that’s best-suited to holidays and travelling.

‘We recently put the Volo through our exacting pushchair tests. You can find out whether it impressed us in our full review of the Maclaren Volo.’

Sugar and spice styling

Maclaren claims that the sweet shop-themed styling is ‘designed to appeal to our consumers’ sense of fun and adventure’. The result is a trendy black frame and rainbow-coloured, striped hood and colourful harness. There is also a coordinating seat liner and candy-print raincover.

The tie-up with Dylan’s Candy Bar is just one of Maclaren’s collaborations with designer names. Others have included Burberry, Juicy Couture and Cath Kidston. Find out more about Maclaren’s current range of buggies and pushchairs in our guide to the top buggy brands.

US-based Dylan’s Candy Bar is claimed to be the world’s largest sweet emporium, stocking more than 7,000 sweets. It’s only UK outlet is a concession in department store Bentalls, in Kingston Upon Thames.

Price and stockists

The Dylan’s Candy Bar buggy costs £125. The price includes a reversible seat liner and printed raincover.
