If you’re thinking about getting some new garden tools, a barbecue or some outdoor furniture for your garden, now could be a good time. Despite it being one of the busiest months of the year in the garden, there are some real bargains to be had as retailers begin to sell off summer stock to make way for new autumn arrivals.
But before you head down to your local DIY store or garden centre, it’s well worth checking online to see what deals you can get. Online retailers usually have a wider range than garden centres, available at heavily discounted prices.
Big discounts on top-brand BBQs
Earlier this year we bought 22 widely available barbecues (13 gas and nine charcoal), each one costing £450 or less. We rated how easy they were to put together and what they were like once assembled. We also tested them for safety, stability and how easy they were to move around and clean after cooking. Read our BBQ review to find out which ones performed well and which didn’t.
25% off Bosch garden power
We tested 33 lawnmowers this year to find out which performed well and offered the best value for money. We test each mower on ease of use, safety, how closely they can cut edges and how long the battery lasts as well as how they perform on rough, long and damp grass. It’s well worth finding out which were the best buys, you might even find one in the sales. Read our review before you shop.
Half price hedgetrimmers
If you have a hedge that’s starting to look like it needs a cut but haven’t yet invested in a hedgetrimmer, now may be a good time to do so. We’ve just tested 15 electric hedgetrimmers, read our review before you shop to find out which were a cut above the rest.
