Times may be tough but there are still some great free offers out there. Here we round up ten of the best:

1) Free TV tickets

If you’re a fan of TV shows such as Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Top Gear or The Graham Norton Show, you can sign up at sites such as applausestore.com, sroaudiences.com and tvrecordings.com for free audience tickets.

2) Films for nothing

See free films with seefilmfirst.com or momentumscreenings.com. Both send emails with chances to see previews of new films. Watch films online legally for free at blinkbox.com, crackle.com and indimoviesonline.com.

3) Books worms get in free

If you have an eBook reader, you can get free eBooks from gutenberg.org, manybooks.net or obooko.com. Also try readitswapit.co.uk, which allows you to exchange novels with other bookworms.

4) Sites for samples

There are loads of websites that offer free samples of everything from skincare products to tea and coffee. Sites include freebielist.com, freestuffjunction.co.uk, searchfreebies.co.uk and freeinuk.co.uk.

5) Swap and share

8) Kids and babies cost less
