Bugaboo pushchair colours 2012

New Bugaboo limited edition colours for 2012

Bugaboo has launched a range of colourful hoods and bassinet covers for the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey pushchairs, and a hood for the Bugaboo Bee.

The new limited edition colours include electric blue, jade green and coral red.

The hood and bassinet cover set for the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey costs around £85, while the hood-only option for the Bugaboo Bee is priced at £55.

Parents wanting to inject some colour into their Bugaboo pushchairs can buy these fabric sets from March 2012. But these are limited edition colours – they will only be in shops for six months.

Bugaboo pushchairs

Popular brand Bugaboo has three pushchairs in its range.

The best-selling Bugaboo Cameleon can be used with a pram body for newborns, or a pushchair seat for older babies. One of these pushchairs (including the pram body fabric) will set you back around £680.

The Bugaboo Bee is more like a traditional buggy with a reclining backrest and seat that can be parent-facing. Costing around £440 this is the cheapest model in the Bugaboo range.

The new Bugaboo Donkey can be used as a single or double pushchair – the frame can expand sideways to fit a second seat. Prices start at around £800 for one with a single seat.

We’ve put all three Bugaboo buggies through a series of rigorous tests to see how easy they are to steer, fold, carry and adjust, as well as how comfy and safe they are. To see how they compare to pushchairs from brands like Maclaren and iCandy, ready our Bugaboo pushchairs reviews.

More Bugaboo colour for less

Which? pushchair expert Victoria Pearson says: ‘Vibrant pushchair colours undoubtedly make a style statement. But limited edition colours rarely offer the best value, especially when the colourful Bugaboo seat liner isn’t part of the package.

‘If you want to brighten up your Bugaboo Cameleon but don’t mind forgoing a limited edition colour, you can buy a range of fabrics packs, including pink or royal blue, which contain a hood and bassinet cover, plus a seat liner for around £90 – only £5 more than this limited edition option.’

You can buy the Bugaboo Cameleon Tailored Fabric set – including hood, seat inlay and bassinet cover – from John Lewis for £89.95.
