The Which? expert labs have recently tested models ranging from just £17 up to a budget-busting £80.
So, there are models to suit everyone’s pocket. But an expensive price tag doesn’t guarantee you’ll get perfect results.
The best toaster
Which? toaster expert Lisa Galliers said: ‘We’ve had a real mixed bunch of toasters this time. We’ve tested 2-slice and 4-slice toasters, and we’ve uncovered some great looking models.
‘But, while some might look the part on the kitchen work-top not all could deliver a decent slice of toast.
‘Total test scores for the latest toasters we’ve tested range from an impressive 72% down to just 46%, and some just barely even toasted our bread at all.’
Just because a toaster makes decent toast doesn’t guarantee it’ll be reliable.
