Miele washing machines: Free 10-year warranty

Miele's April offer is short but bold

You can get a free 10-year warranty on all Miele washing machines bought in April – as long as you register your machine by the end of July.

Miele is the only major washing machine manufacturer we’ve seen that is currently offering such a long, free, full-machine warranty. This 10-year warranty is available on 39 washing machines and includes the three Miele models that Which? has tested – the , Miele W1914 and .

The integrated W2819i, which is also included in the 10-year warranty offer, is currently being tested in our lab and we will have full results for this model online in the summer.

A powerful statement

Which? laundry expert Adrian Porter commented: ‘Miele washing machines have a great reputation and rightly so. The 10-year warranty promotion is a powerful statement in the washing machine world, and clearly shows the confidence Miele has in its own products.’

Having recently run a similar 10-year warranty promotion on its S7 range of vacuum cleaners (of which we have tested several – see our ), Miele has told Which? it currently has no plans to extend the free 10-year warranty to other products.

However, Miele is offering a similar five-year warranty promotion on certain dishwashers bought between now and the end of May.

How to get your warranty

Miele W1914

The Miele W1914 qualifies for the ten year warranty and has been tested by Which?

To qualify for the 10-year warranty, you must buy a new Miele washing machine between 1 and 30 April 2012 and your application for the warranty must be received by Miele by 31 July 2012.

You can ask for an application form from the retailer or register directly on Miele’s website. Alternatively, a PDF form is also available on the Miele website that you can download, fill in and send back.

The Miele warranty covers all parts, labour, and callouts. Miele says that if it cannot fix your washing machine, it will provide you with a new one free of charge – though conditions do apply.

These conditions require you to adhere to Miele’s installation, care and maintenance guidelines, which can be found in your washing machine’s instruction manual. For the full warranty details and to download the instruction manual for your Miele washing machine, see Miele’s website
