Samsung soundbar, printer ink use, TVs and more

This week on Which? Tech Daily we previewed a Samsung soundbar, revealed the printers that waste the most ink and looked at how to squeeze more battery life from your iPad. We also have a sixty second guide to 4G and a haggling script to help you save hundreds on your broadband and pay TV.

That’s not all – we rounded up the best 32-inch TVs for under £350 and got our hands on a 41-megapixal Windows Phone. We’ve also got advice if you’ve been a victim of phishing scam.

All this and more at Which? Tech Daily.

Soundbars – will the Samsung HW-F751 rival the Sonos PlayBar?

Soundbars offer a compact alternative to a full surround sound system for your TV and are becoming more popular as the technology improves.

What set the Samsung HW-F750 apart in our preview is that it uses the same kind of valve tube amplifier found in guitar amps, which is meant to filter out unwanted noise. We’re still putting it through our full tests but find out what our expert thought of it when she previewed it.

Printers – which printer wastes your ink?

How much ink does your printer waste? We found that some printers run cleaning cycles when they’re turned on and could be costing you a packet in replacement ink cartridges.

Our worst-performing printer for ink uses an extra 499% ink if you only print occasionally, while another could end up costing you an extra £10.53.
