With hundreds of offers available from a huge range of providers, finding the best credit card deal can be difficult.
In May, we launched the Which? Money Compare credit card comparison tables to let consumers search all available cards from all available providers and choose the best deals based on quality of service as well as cost and benefits.
These tables include unique Which? customer satisfaction ratings, revealing how thousands of people rate the quality of the service delivered by a credit card provider.
We soon found that users of our comparison tables were especially keen to search for cards which offered cash back on their spending.
Now, we can reveal which of these credit cards have attracted the most applications since the tables were introduced.

#1 Santander 123 Credit Card MasterCard
This is a great all-round card offering a good cash back deal: 1% in most supermarkets, 2% in selected department stores, 3% in selected petrol stations and some train travel.
It also comes with an 18 month 0% on purchases deal – one of the longest on the market – and the purchase APR has also recently been reduced to 12.7%. This card comes with a £24 annual fee.

#2 Nationwide Select Visa
This card comes with two tempting deals that will suit customers looking for a good card to use abroad and also earn cash back on.
The card waives the foreign loading fee for transactions made abroad; other providers charge up to 2.99% on all transactions made overseas.
It also offers 0.5% cash back on all sterling transactions. To qualify for this card you must be a FlexAccount holder with Nationwide or pay in at least £750 excluding internal transfers each month.
#3 American Express Platinum Cash back Credit Card
This card comes with a 5% introductory cash back rate on spend up to £2,500 for the first three months, which is perfect if you have a big purchase in mind.
The card then offers a standard rate of 1.25% on all other spend, but be aware it comes with a £25 annual fee.
#4 Capital One Aspire Elite MasterCard
If you’re a big spender and after a card with one of the highest rates of cash back on the market, this may be the one for you. It offers 5% cash back for the first 3 months (capped at £200) and then offers between 1% and 2% cash back depending on your monthly spend.
It also comes with a number of exclusive VIP benefits including a concierge service, extended warranty and best price protection. To qualify for the card you must pay an annual fee of £120 be aged over 21 and earn more than £50,000 pa.
#5 Aqua Reward MasterCard
If you have a poor or impaired credit rating and are looking for a way to repair it whilst earning cash back, this deal could appeal.
The card offers 0.5% cash back on all purchases, with an initial credit limit between £100 and £1,200. This card has a very high Representative APR that starts at 39.9%, so you should make sure to pay off the bill in full each month to avoid paying interest.
