The campaign provides tips to protect people from the likes of insurance fraud and vishing scams- where fraudsters use telephone calls to steal personal details.

Spotting the tricks used by fraudsters
The Know Fraud campaign includes eight things your bank will never ask you to do.
These include providing banking services through a mobile app other than the bank’s official one or asking you to try out a test transaction online.
Compensation con scams are another sophisticated scam that Know Fraud is warning consumers about.
This scam involves criminals calling or texting to say you are owed thousands of pounds in compensation or refunds from your bank for taking out Payment Protection Insurance (PPI).
