Which? reveals new food processor and stand mixer Best Buys

Bosch, Kenwood, KitchenAid & Magimix models tested

KitchenAid Artisan-KSM150

Is this stylish KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer a Best Buy?

If you’re looking for the perfect Christmas gift for a foodie, or if you want some help preparing stuffing, making cakes or whipping cream in the lead-up to Christmas, then read on. Our tests have revealed three new Best Buy food processors and stand mixers.

Ten models have gone through our rigorous tests, with three doing well enough to be named Best Buys. If you’re an aspiring chef, you can see which models chop, grate and slice well enough to impress your friends and family by reading our full food processor reviews.

If baking is more your thing, you can discover which models will be the most helpful when making all of your Christmas treats – check out our full stand mixer reviews.

Our improved stand mixer and food processor tests

We have improved our food processor and stand mixer tests, lifting our expectations to ensure that Best Buys excel at the jobs you’ve told us are most important. Food processors are expected to chop, slice, grate and blend expertly. While stand mixers that mix, whisk, whip and knead the best are the ones that we name Best Buys.

Since then, we’ve completed two rounds of tests.

In our first, we tested several high profile models by KitchenAid and Sage by Heston Blumenthal, as well as affordable models from Argos and Morphy Richards. We uncovered an affordable food processor from Kenwood that outdoes much pricier models, and a stand mixer that isn’t up to Best Buy standard, despite costing over £400.

In our latest round of testing, we decided to retest popular models that did well in our old tests. We named several of these Best Buys after they sailed through their first round of testing – our new reviews reveal which ones do a good enough job to keep their status.
