Just launched: new Quinny pushchair

Longboardstroller is a pushchair with a difference

 Quinny longboardstroller

The Quinny longboardstroller, a quirkier take on the traditional pushchair

The Quinny longboardstroller is now available, offering a slightly unusual method of getting around with your child.

The clue to the Quinny longboardstroller is in its name: it’s a pushchair with a skateboard-like longboard attached, allowing you to cruise along at speed with your child.

Quinny developed the longboardstroller to give parents a faster method of transport and more freedom to roam.

We’ve not reviewed this pushchair but we have tested several all terrain models – find the best one for you and your child by reading our all terrain pushchair reviews.

The Quinny longboardstroller: what does it look like?

New Quinny pushchair: what you need to know

The idea for the longboard stroller came after research carried out by Quinny found that parents living in urban areas travel around much less after having a child.

You can only buy the Quinny longboard stroller from www.quinny.com at the moment, and only 1,000 models are being produced. Plus, you may have to wait up to five weeks for delivery.

Quinny advises that to use this pushchair your child should be at least one year old, weigh no more than 15kg and wear a helmet at all times. The maximum weight for the parent is 100kg.

Pushchair safety

Which? tests pushchairs more thoroughly than anyone else in the UK. We put each pushchair through a series of tough tests and make sure they pass critical safety and durability standards. These include:

  • testing the strength and stability of the pushchair
  • confirming how well built it is
  • checking for choking hazards
  • looking for arm, leg or finger traps
  • straining the harness to make sure it will hold your baby
  • checking the safety of brakes and locking mechanisms.

We also wheel pushchairs for approximately 206km along a bumpy treadmill track to find out just how well they’ll cope with uneven pavements, potholes and kerbs.
