Best Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sim-only mobile phone deals for 2018

With more providers announcing deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, our round-up reveals some of the best from Three, Sky, Virgin and Tesco Mobile.

This Black Friday and Cyber Monday is shaping up to be the most competitive yet as many mobile providers slash prices on Sim-only mobile plans.

It’s great news if you’re looking for a cheap deal on your monthly bundle, either to replace your current contract or to buy a new phone outright.

Best Sim-only deals: Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2018

O2

Despite O2 taking their time to announce their mobile offers, they have not disappointed and is offering three superb deals to customers.

For Black Friday, new customers can access Netflix free for six months, alongside all the other discounts they are offering!

All their offers come with a 12-month contract and free access to O2’s wi-fi network.

  • 15GB, unlimited minutes for £18
  • 20GB, unlimited minutes for £20
  • 60GB, unlimited minutes for £30

BT Mobile

BT Mobile is offering a raft of Sim-only deals with a prepaid reward card of up to £100 as a signup bonus as part of their Black Friday bonanza.

All deals are 12 months and if you are a BT broadband customer, you can access even greater savings as all deals are £5 cheaper.

  • 2GB, unlimited minutes for £13 – £50 Reward Card
  • 5GB, unlimited minutes for £15 – £60 Reward Card
  • 12GB, unlimited minutes for £19 – £80 Reward Card
  • 20GB, unlimited minutes for £22 – £90 Reward Card, double the data
  • 40GB, unlimited minutes for £30 – £100 Reward Card

EE

Despite being the largest mobile network in the UK, EE is also getting in on the Black Friday act, offering three fantastic SIM-only deals.

All deals are 12-months and come with unlimited minutes and texts. EE also boasts the fastest 4G speeds in the UK – read our article on which mobile network has the best signal for more.

EE’s offers end on the 4th December.

  • 25GB, unlimited minutes for £20
  • 40GB, unlimited minutes for £25
  • 60GB, unlimited minutes for £30

Three (3)

Three is no stranger to a good deal, offering copious amounts of data for a relatively low cost. This year it has something special on offer: unlimited data, minutes and texts for only £20 per month.

The deal also comes with Go Binge, which allows you to use certain apps such as Apple Music and Netflix without using up your allowance, and Go Roam, which allows you to use your UK allowances at no extra cost in over 70 countries.

The deal becomes live on Black Friday at 8am and will be live until midnight on Tuesday 27th November.

Tesco Mobile

Tesco Mobile has grown to have over five million customers and it is not shying away from offering some stellar deals for Black Friday as part of Tesco’s Black Friday event.

Packages are 12 months as standard and all come with 5000 texts. Tesco Mobile customers also get the opportunity to collect Clubcard points to spend in-store or exchange for rewards.

  • 5GB, 1,000 minutes for £10 per month – save £12 

  • 10GB, 5,000 minutes for £13.50 per month – down from £18, save £54

  • 20GB, 5,000 minutes for £16.50 per month – down from £25, save £102

Virgin Mobile

Virgin Mobile is running some great Sim-only offers for Black Friday, cutting £4 off its 5GB data package and trebling the data for mid-tier packages.

All packages require a 12-month contract and come with unlimited texts, spending caps and data rollover, meaning whatever data you don’t use in the month previous gets rolled over to the next one.

There are offers for light, medium and heavy data users.

  • 5GB, 2,500 minutes for £9 per month – down from £13

  • 24GB, 2,500 minutes for £15 per month – three times more data

  • 45GB, 5,000 minutes for £18 per month – three times more data and double the minutes

iD Mobile

Carphone Warehouse-owned iD Mobile is known for having cheap Sim-only packages, as well as the UK’s lowest-priced Sim-only deal.

As part of Carphone Warehouse’s Black Tag event, iD Mobile is upping the data on offer. You won’t get tied down here, either: all iD Mobile packages come with a one-month rolling contract, unlimited texts, data rollover and data capping as well.

  • 4GB, 500 minutes for £8 per month – 1GB extra free

  • 7GB, 500 minutes for £10 per month – 2GB extra free

Sky Mobile

Sky is no stranger to Black Friday and it’s offering great savings across its range of services this year. Sky Mobile is no exception, as it’s bumping up the data included on a couple of packages that are ideal for light users.

All deals involve a 12-month contract and come with unlimited minutes and texts free for six months, although it’s free indefinitely if you’re a Sky TV customer. Data rollover and Piggybank Rewards are also included, which allow you to cash in your unused data for monthly rewards.

  • 2GB, unlimited minutes for £8 per month – 2GB for the price of 1GB

  • 4GB, unlimited minutes for £12 per month – 4GB for the price of 3GB
