Black Friday deals on Amazon devices

Amazon Echo 5 + Neos SmartCam bundle – was £104.98, now £64.99 (38% off)

We liked: Quick voice control, 5-inch display, adaptive brightness
We didn’t like: Variable sound quality, screen can be fiddly for some

In an effort to get the Echo 5 into more living rooms around the UK, Amazon is bundling the chatty box with the Neos SmartCam security camera. For a limited time, you can grab both products for around £65.

Although we haven’t tested the Neos security camera in our lab just yet, we’ve been hands-on with the Amazon Echo 5 to see if it’s a worthy Best Buy. The Echo 5 is a Bluetooth and wi-fi connected smart display, powered by Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. You can use it to stream music, make calls and control other smart products.

If you don’t want the security camera, you can buy the Echo Show 5 on its own for £49.99.

Black Friday deals on Amazon Fire Sticks

Plug one of Amazon’s streaming sticks into the back of your TV and you’ll have instant access to a selection of streaming services. The list includes BBC iPlayer, Amazon Prime Video, ITV Hub, YouTube and Netflix. Alexa support on certain models means you can use voice commands to search for specific TV shows and episodes.

Black Friday deals on Amazon Kindle ebook readers

Kindle is the biggest name in ebook readers. Amazon’s range caters to every budget, from the entry-level Kindle (2019) to the premium Kindle Oasis. These e-ink gadgets are popular with commuters who like to flick through a book on the move. Waterproof designs on the newer models also make them well suited to a poolside holiday.

Black Friday deals on Amazon Fire tablets

Amazon is discounting its Fire tablets this Black Friday, with deals covering both the 8-inch and 10-inch models. For a limited time, you can grab the Amazon Fire HD 10 for less than £100. It has a 1080p Full HD display and 32GB of internal storage. Amazon claims it will last up to 12 hours on a single charge.

Amazon Black Friday Bluetooth speaker deals

Marshall Stanmore II (Bluetooth) – was £299, now £199 (33% off)

We liked: Stylish design, easy to use
We didn’t like: At 5kg, it’s extremely heavy to move around

This wireless speaker is rocking an iconic Marshall design and might catch your eye if you’re looking for a traditional-looking Bluetooth speaker. It’s one of the chunkier members of the Marshall family, controlled via Bluetooth or rotary dials.

Marshall’s Stanmore II can play music extremely loud if you need it to. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and can also be used wired through a 3.5mm socket. The British company also sells a pricier variation of this speaker that comes with voice support.

Amazon Black Friday smartwatch deals

Suunto 9 GPS Watch – was £318.18, now £250.99 (21% off)

We liked: Tons of fitness data with support for more than 80 activities
We didn’t like: Missing some key smart functionality – such as wi-fi, calling and apps

To call this a versatile wearable would be an understatement – we actually described it as a ‘smartwatch that Indiana Jones might have worn’.

It’s chunky, but if you’re looking for something that can handle the great outdoors, this could be just the ticket. Packed with features, including more than 80 sports modes, it was initially on sale for close to £500. Amazon now has it discounted to less than half that.

Fitbit Charge 3 – was £129.99, now £79.99 (38% off)

We liked: Packed with features, and has a large screen for a fitness tracker.
We didn’t like: There’s no built-in GPS.

An advanced fitness tracker that offers a built-in heart-rate monitor, VO2 max estimates, sleep tracking, 15 exercise modes for different sports, guided breathing for when you’re stressed out, period tracking and more. It’s waterproof for swimming, unlike earlier Charge models.

There’s no built-in GPS – which is a bit disappointing – so you’ll still need your smartphone to hand if you want it to track your run.

Special edition models offer contactless payments through Fitbit Pay – just check your bank is compatible.

It’s currently reduced by 38% on Amazon, making it one of the best Black Friday wearables deals we’ve seen so far.

Fitbit Versa – was £200, now £127.99 (36% off)

We liked: It’s a good alternative to the Apple Watch if you’re not an iPhone user.
We didn’t like: There’s no built-in GPS, so you’ll need your phone to track your run.

The Versa can do many things, from the basics, like tracking steps, to the more advanced, like detecting sleep apnoea through an SpO2 sensor, period tracking and storing music on the watch for phone-free listening. It’s a good choice if you want the best of both a fitness tracker and smartwatch – or if you like the rounded square design of the Apple Watch, but aren’t keen to pay the price of an Apple.

The lack of built-in GPS was our main niggle with this watch, but it’s worth considering if that doesn’t bother you.

It’s currently reduced to £130 on Amazon and Very.

Huawei Band 4 – was £39.99, now £34.99 (13% off)

We liked: It comes with decent fitness features for the cheap price – even when it isn’t discounted
We didn’t like: There’s no built-in GPS, so you’ll need your phone with you to track your run

The Huawei Band 4 was already a cheap wearable: typically priced at just £39.99. For that, you’ll get some nice features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking – and the ability to detect common sleep problems, VO2max predictions (an estimation of how efficiently your body is using oxygen) and water resistance, on top of all the basics.

It’s a fairly generic-looking tracker, its smart features are fairly rudimentary and – our biggest complaint with this tracker – there’s no built-in GPS. But, if you’re not looking for total freedom from your smartphone, this might be just the ticket.

It’s currently reduced to £34.99 on Amazon.

Apple iPhone 11 Pro – was £1,049, now £949 (10% off)

We liked: Stunning display and improvements all round on last year’s models
We didn’t like: Still very expensive

Apple needed to do something dramatic to keep up with rivals Samsung and Huawei, and whether you love or hate the design of the new camera array, there’s no doubting where the biggest improvements lie. We were impressed to see spit and polish elsewhere, though. In several areas, the 11 series is a significant improvement on the previous generation.

They haven’t been on the market for long, and big discounts on Apple products aren’t common, but you can still save £100 on the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max in the Black Friday sales at Amazon.

Oppo Reno 10x Zoom – was £700, now £459 (34% off)

We liked: Unique camera design impressed
We didn’t like: Lacking some key features

From a brand well known for its unique designs, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom doesn’t disappoint. It’s one of the few phones on the market right now that has a truly full display. Its uninterrupted design is thanks to its motorised pop-up front camera.

Our tests proved that the front camera is more than just a gimmick, producing equally detailed photos to the triple camera you’ll find on the rear of the phone. We would’ve liked to see waterproof protection on this phone considering its original price, but with its Black Friday discount that might be a sacrifice worth making.

Huawei P30 Pro – was £899.99, now £649.95 (28% off)

We liked: Speedy charging, impressive cameras, fast processor
We didn’t like: No headphone jack, bloatware

Huawei’s latest flagship mobile is on offer at a discount this Black Friday. It has a hefty 6.47-inch Full HD+ display and four rear cameras, with the headliner being a 40Mp wide-angle lens.

There’s no physical home button on this Huawei phone – you can unlock it using the in-screen fingerprint sensor or face unlock. Running on 8GB of Ram, the P30 Pro won’t skip a beat even if you’re running lots of apps at the same time.

Read our full Huawei P30 Pro review, or buy it now on Amazon.

Huawei P20 – was £599, now £300 (50% off)

We liked: Takes detailed pictures, sleek design
We didn’t like: Sound quality is disappointing

The now half-price Huawei P20 Pro is the perfect opportunity to get a phone with premium features at a much more forgiving price than its rivals.

As with most of Huawei’s P Series phones, this model focuses on acing photography. Armed with a dual wide-angle rear lens (20Mp and 12Mp) and a high-resolution 24Mp front lens, the P20 didn’t disappoint in producing well-balanced photos.

Apple iPad (2019) – was £349, now £298.99 (14% off)

We liked: Fantastic screen, great speakers
We didn’t like: Large and heavy

This latest iPad model from Apple has a 10.2-inch screen and runs off the same A10 processor found on last year’s model. The discounted iPad (2019) on Amazon is wi-fi only and has 32GB of internal storage.

It’s worth noting that you can’t expand the storage on this iPad, so you may need to rely on cloud storage services if you run out of space.

Amazon Black Friday security camera deals

Logitech Circle 2 Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera – was £129.49, now £99.99 (23% off)

We liked: Detailed image quality, wide-angle lens, straightforward smartphone app
We didn’t like: Some accessories can be pricey

Logitech’s Circle 2 camera can be used indoors or mounted to a wall by your front door. It’s ready to take on the elements and designed to withstand rain, snow, heat and cold.

This camera records footage at 1080p and sends alerts when it detects motion, giving you peace of mind while you’re away from home. Amazon has knocked £30 off the Circle 2 for Black Friday. If you’re shopping for a capable home security camera, add this one to your shortlist.

Amazon Black Friday soundbar deals

Yamaha YAS-306 – was £284.09, now £209.95 (26% off)

We liked: Compact, consistent sound and flexible multi-room audio via wi-fi
We didn’t like: No display and a clunky remote make setup and operation a bit awkward

Despite the lack of a sub-woofer, this is a versatile soundbar that offers multi-room audio by wirelessly connecting to other products via the MultiCast app.

You can buy an additional sub-woofer, which you’ll need if you’re expecting pounding bass. At just over £200 in the Amazon Black Friday sale, this could be a solid addition to your living room.

Amazon Black Friday headphones deals

Sony WH-XB900N – was £179, now £129 (27% off)

We liked: An impressive claim of 30 hours of battery life was confirmed by our lab tests
We didn’t like: Our panel was split on bass response quality, and comfort

The WH-XB900N offers many of the features of Sony’s high-end range at a lower price, including Bluetooth, noise cancelling and support for your smartphone’s built-in voice assistant. Flexible and easy to use, provided you download the Sony Connect app, they could be just the ticket on a cold commute.

Amazon Black Friday vacuum cleaner deals

Tineco A10 Hero – was £229, now £143 (37% off)

We liked: Great for pet hair
We didn’t like: Short runtime

Tineco is a relatively new brand to the UK, but its well-priced cordless vacuums are aiming to challenge Dyson’s crown. This model usually costs between £180-£230, so this is a great price. It has a relatively short run-time by today’s standards (up to 25 minutes), but it’s also much cheaper.

Buy the Tineco A10 Hero now on Amazon.

Dyson V11 Absolute – was £588, now £499 (15% off)

We liked: Easy to use, real-time battery life countdown
We didn’t like: Very expensive

This is Dyson’s flagship model, with a digital control display, 60-minute battery life and auto cleaning mode, which automatically adjusts suction power for the surface you are cleaning, saving you the hassle and optimizing your cleaning time.

The price hadn’t really dropped at all until a couple of weeks ago, when this offer first appeared. It’s back for Black Friday weekend. If you want the ultimate in cordless cleaning, this is the best price we’ve seen.

Tineco Pure One S12 – was £499, now £339 at Amazon (32% off)

We liked: Long battery life

We didn’t like: Smartphone controls are a bit gimmicky

The Tineco Pure One S12 cordless stick vacuum is the nearest rival to the pricey Dyson V11 Absolute that we’ve seen in terms of features, and at this price it’s over £160 cheaper too.

Like the V11, it has a digital control display and auto-cleaning mode, but it also includes two swappable batteries, so you won’t have to fret about running out of juice.

It’s even got a smartphone app which lets you see cleaning updates, maintenance alerts and control the vac, though we weren’t totally sold on this feature.

It usually costs around £450, so this is the lowest price we’ve seen, and on spec it gives you real bang for your buck.

Read our full Tineco Pure One S12 review to see if we rated its cleaning power, or buy it now on Amazon.

Dyson V8 Absolute – was £399, now £299 (save 25%)

We liked: Easy to use, cleans effectively
We didn’t like: Short battery life on the most powerful setting

The V8 Absolute is one of Dyson’s older models, but it still has a dust-ejecting bin, and up to 40 minutes cleaning time.

You can usually find it for around £330-350, so this is a decent saving on the typical price.

Amazon Black Friday stand mixer deals

Kenwood kMix KMX754 – was £429, now £169 (53% off)

We liked: Brilliant at kneading, quiet
We didn’t like: Glass bowl is heavier than metal ones

We didn’t like: Glass bowl is quite heavy

This popular kMix stand mixer flaunts a retro-inspired design and comes with a 5-litre glass mixing bowl. A whisk, K-beater and dough hook mean you can tackle almost any baking task without having to put in the muscle power.

It’s been pretty cheap all Black Friday, at around £200 (depending on colour) but it’s now dropped to the lowest price we’ve ever seen at £169. It usually costs around £230-250 (you should never have to pay the £430 original price quoted by Amazon), so this is a great price.

Amazon Black Friday coffee machine deals

Nespresso Sage Creatista Plus – now £249

We liked: Produces excellent espressos, easy to use
We didn’t like: A little noisy

The Sage Creatista Plus is Sage’s third, and most expensive, model in its Creatista range. But this Amazon Black Friday deal price is the lowest we’ve seen it, making it a great option if you’re looking for a premium coffee machine.

This version offers more milk frothing customisation options, with eight texture levels and 11 temperatures to choose from. It’s still by no means cheap, but if it can make a fantastic coffee then it’s a tempting offer.

Amazon Black Friday blender deals

Ninja Blender and Food Processor – was £229.99, now £162.11 (30% off)

We liked: Blends a range of ingredients, dishwasher safe
We didn’t like: Difficult to set up and clean by hand

This Ninja blender and food processor can tackle multiple kitchen jobs, and even comes with a vacuum attachment for ultra-smooth blends. It has a large 1.9-litre blending jug, two 600ml single-serve blending cups and a food-processor attachment. We’ve seen it for £179 before, but even so, this is good value for such a multi-functional gadget.

Using the sleek touch controls, you can pick between low and high speed settings. The Ninja blender and food processor has a pulse function and six automatic programs: smoothie, ice cream, puree, chop, extract and frozen drink.

Amazon Black Friday coffee machine deals

Dolce Gusto Oblo – was £89.99, now £28 (68% off)

We liked: Really easy to use, can make a wide variety of drinks
We didn’t like: It’s a bit noisy, and pods are quite expensive

You’d be forgiven for snapping this capsule coffee machine up at what seems like a bargain price, but there are two things you should do first. Research the range of drinks and price of the pods – they can be expensive, so you’ll want to know how much you’re paying for drinks. And read our in-depth review – there a couple of things we weren’t crazy about, like the fact that it’s quite noisy.

Also bear in mind that we’ve seen Dolce Gusto machines drop this low pretty regularly, and this model is almost never full price, so there’s no need to rush out and buy it.

Amazon Black Friday electric toothbrush deals

Oral B SmartSeries 6500 – was £229, now £69.99 (69%)

We liked: Cleans well, brush head is easy to change
We didn’t like: Takes ages to charge

At £69.99, this Amazon Black Friday deal is notable, but it’s not a mind blowing as it first seems. If you’ve had your eye on the SmartSeries anyway, it’s worth snapping up. But don’t panic buy – like most electric toothbrushes it will probably drop its price again later in the year.

It has Bluetooth compatibility that enables it to connect with the Oral-B app and comes with an array of added extras. But is this premium electric toothbrush any good at cleaning your teeth? Read our review to find out.

Amazon Black Friday hand mixer deals

Breville VFM021 HeatSoft hand mixer – was £69.99, now £49.99 (28%)

We liked: Easy to use
We didn’t like: It’s noisy

If you regularly forget to take your butter out of the fridge before you start to bake then the HeatSoft hand mixer could be for you. It might look like a standard hand mixer, but it has a built-in fan at the front that blows a gentle heat into the bowl as you mix.

At £49.99, you’re getting £20 off. Just enough to buy the baking ingredients for your next cake.

Amazon Black Friday reusable water bottle deals

SHO reusable water bottle – was £17.99, now £13.59 (24%)

We liked: Easy to drink from
We didn’t like: You’ll have to wash it by hand

SHO is great if you need a hard-working reusable water bottle. It is coated in a hard-wearing material that means it’ll survive knocks in a packed rucksack and it doesn’t ‘sweat’, so it’s fine to carry in the same bag with electricals.

It’s still by no means the cheapest water bottle out there, but if you’ve had your eye on one anyway then it’s a tempting offer.
