Expert review

The Honeywell XC100 carbon monoxide alarm is built with longevity in mind. It comes with a sealed-in and tamper-proof 10-year battery, so you won't need to worry about finding replacement batteries for it. It also comes with a backlit warning message in red, which shows through the case. When there's CO in the air, the Honeywell not only sounds, but also displays the message 'Alarm evacuate'. But how well does it detect carbon monoxide? To find out, we tested it. Read on for the full results.
