Hoover says its H-Free 500 cordless vacuum is its lightest and most compact ever. Weighing just 2.2kg, it should be a doddle to use around your home and easy to stash in a cupboard. But is this cheap cordless vacuum any good at sucking up dust and grime? It may be light and compact, but this Hoover isn't the easiest to manoeuvre and struggles to clear dust from carpets or creviced floors. It might just about be OK in small flats with laminate floors, but it's not a great all-rounder.
