The Sony Alpha 7R is a full-frame compact system camera (CSC). By placing a 35mm full-frame sensor in a mirrorless compact system camera, Sony has created a world first that potentially offers the picture quality of a top-end DSLR in a smaller, lighter CSC body. We found the Alpha 7R was an easy to use camera, but could it live us to its billing and take terrific pictures? Only the Which? test lab could provide the answer.
