The Honeywell XH100 heat alarm comes with a sealed battery, which will work for the 10-year lifetime of the alarm. This means you won’t have to change the batteries every now and then. It’s designed to be fitted in a kitchen or a garage, places where traditional smoke alarms could be fooled into sounding by smoke from cooking or fumes from vehicles. And it comes with a large re-set button – so large, you can jab it with a broom to turn it off. It can be linked to other Honeywell X-series alarms making it suitable for homes in Scotland when the alarms law changes there in 2022.
