AEG IDE84243IB review
Our testing found that two samples of this product failed the requirements that are designed to keep you safe in case of a fire in your kitchen.
A component in this cooker hood didn’t meet the industry standards for safety when it was exposed to a real flame in our test lab, making it a fire hazard.
Electrolux, AEG's owner, told us 'Electrolux agrees that the extractor basin rubber plug does not currently meet the needle flame test requirements when tested in isolation.
However, when the plug forms part of the overall product, the needle flame test is not applicable as it is not possible for any fire to reach the plug.
Therefore, we do not believe that the test conducted by Which? is applicable to the component in question and does not show an accurate reflection of the standard use of the product.'
