Using the table
Star ratings: Star ratings are based on one to five stars. The more stars the better.
Type of holiday offered: A brief description of each business. The company may offer other holiday types.
Accommodation: Customer service, comfort, facilities, room size, cleanliness.
Journey: The journey to and from your holiday destination eg customer service, flights, train journey, transfers.
Tours: Customer service, quality of tour guide, range and availability of tours.
Value for money: Respondent rating when booking the holiday.
Customer score: This is based on a combination of overall satisfaction and how likely people are to recommend the holiday company to a friend.

How we researched holiday companies

In March 2012, we used our online Which? Connect panel to ask Which? members about the most recent travel company they had used to book and provide their holiday in the past two years. We received 3,576 completed questionnaires.

To be included in our survey, a holiday company must have provided at least two elements of the holiday (accommodation, travel or a tour). Only companies and star rating categories with at least 30 responses were reported on.
