Italian brand Gaggia, which is now owned by Philips, offers a wide range of coffee machines including the Baby, the  Platinum Vogue and the Evolution Espresso.

Of the eight Gaggia coffee machines we’ve tested, six can be used with ground coffee or coffee pods, one can be used only with coffee beans and one can be used only with coffee capsules.

In our coffee taste tests, Gaggia machines generally achieve average to excellent scores when used with ground coffee or coffee pods. All the Gaggia machines we’ve tested are also rated either average, good or excellent for ease of use.

All the Gaggia machines we’ve tested have a removable water tank and come with a steam pipe for heating and frothing milk. Just over half of them have a cup warmer and one comes with a water filter.

The weight of the Gaggia coffee machines we’ve tested varies quite significantly, from 3.6kg to 10.3kg.
