Bosch fridge freezers

German brand Bosch offers several ranges of fridge freezers - the Logixx, Exxcel, Avantixx and Classixx fridge freezer ranges.

We’ve run extensive tests on 10 Bosch fridge freezers in our test lab, including the Bosch KGV28V01GB Classixx and Bosch KGH33X03GB Exxcel. To find out how each scored, visit the Which? fridge freezer reviews.

Bosch is part of the same family (the Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group) as fridge freezer brands Siemens and Neff, and the Bosch fridge freezers we’ve tested typically cost between £300 and £500. However, one model we’ve tested costs nearly £1200.

Bosch fridge freezer reviews

In our lab tests, Bosch fridge freezers generally score well or excellently for fridge and freezer temperature stability, which is important as it means you won’t have to adjust the thermostat if the room temperature changes.

However, scores for freezer power (the amount of food a freezer can freeze to -18°C in 24 hours) range from excellent to very poor, and some Bosch models score very poorly for fridge power.

If you’re considering buying a specific Bosch fridge freezer, check how well it scores for a variety of criteria by visiting our fridge freezer test results.

While some Bosch models score very poorly for ease of defrosting, other frost-free models score excellently. Choosing a frost-free freezer will make your life easier as you won’t have to defrost it, but make sure you don’t over pack it as air needs to circulate to keep the frost at bay.

After central heating, your fridge freezer is likely to be biggest energy user in your home, so it’s wise to consider the annual running costs of any fridge freezer before you buy it.

Annual running costs for the Bosch fridge freezers we’ve tested range from £27 to £55 a year and are listed in our fridge freezer reviews.

As well as testing fridge freezers in our lab, we also survey thousands of owners to find out whether they’ve had any problems with their fridge freezer. Check out our fridge freezer reliability page to find out how reliable Bosch fridge freezers are.
