Which Award Trophy 2015

The Which? Awards recognise businesses in the UK that put their customers' needs first

Volkswagen and Sony are two of the very best UK businesses, recognised at the annual Which? Awards ceremony today.

It's the first time that Volkswagen has won Best Car Manufacturer and Sony the Best Audio-Visual Brand. Both were praised for focusing on the needs of their customers.

Volkwagen rose to the top, as all of its cars tested by Which? this year were rated highly. Which? has also received high levels of feedback from consumers on the helpfulness and knowledgeability of its staff.

Sony has been awarded numerous Which? Best Buy accolades for its products this year, which helped it to overcome stiff competition from other brands in the audio-visual category.

New Which? Awards for 2015

The first Which? Trusted Trader of the Year Award was won by South London Heating. The award recognises traders endorsed by the Which? Trusted Traders scheme, who have gone the extra mile for their customers and achieved excellent customer reviews.

Delivery company DPD was singled out for a special award this year, which recognises a company that has offered the best in customer care and driven change in its sector. DPD topped the Which? tables for courier companies with a huge customer satisfaction score and is the only company in the sector so far, to meet all the calls of the Which? campaign to Stamp Out Dodgy Deliveries.

Good businesses are consumer champions

Which? Group Chief Executive, Peter Vicary-Smith, said: 'A Which? Award is our way of recognising the businesses that share our ideals and offer products and services that improve their customers’ lives.

'Good businesses can truly be consumer champions. By treating customers fairly, businesses will be rewarded for their efforts with more confident consumers helping to drive growth in the economy.'

Business Secretary, Sajid Javid, said: 'Customers are the most important people to any business. Without customers there are no profits, no exports, no growth. The Which? Awards are testament to businesses that recognise this.

'It’s why we are committed to making Britain the best place to start and grow a business, and helping more businesses deliver the award-worthy service their customers deserve.'
