Debenhams in administration
Debenhams has gone into administration.
When we contacted NewDay (the firm behind the Debenhams credit card) it told us that customers would still be able to use their cards.
However, points can no longer be earned on new purchases.
Any points earned before 1 December 2020 above the value of £2 can still be redeemed via the Debenham Card app or online account manager as a gift card to be used at Debenhams.
NewDay also told Which? new applications for Debenhams cards have been suspended.
What did the Debenhams credit card offer?

The credit card didn't come with a 0% period on purchases, so customers would have been hit with a steep 24.9% APR if they didn't repay their balance each month.

How we calculate Debenhams' customer score and ratings
We pick credit cards to feature in Which? brand reviews based on the most popular brands searched for online.
Customer scores are based on an online survey of the public, which received 6,537 responses in total. They are calculated using a combination of overall satisfaction and the likelihood of recommending the provider to a friend.
Star ratings for each category are scored independently of the customer score.
These surveys are carried out annually and customer scores are updated accordingly. Providers must receive a minimum sample size of 30 respondents to be included in our customer satisfaction tables.
