The Which? Fund

The Which? Fund is now accepting applications for our 2025/26 round. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 30 March 2026. 

There was a total of £75,000 of funding available in 2026. 

We anticipate that we will fund a small number of high-quality projects, although there is no maximum or minimum limit on the funds that can be applied for from the available fund. You are advised to cost your project based on what you need. 

The Lead Applicant must be employed by a registered UK charity, not-for-profit Community Interest Company or UK university that has exempt charitable status, as one of these two types of organisation is required to administer any grant awarded. 

The Lead Organisation can then contract other organisations to complete elements of the work described in the application, including forprofit orgs (e.g. commissioning a survey), as long as it’s all within the terms of the restricted grant and does not use the majority of the grant funds awarded.

Yes, collaborative applications are welcome. 

Please note that the Lead Organisation (to which the Lead Applicant will be affiliated), must be a UK-registered charity, not-for-profit Community Interest Company or a UK university that has exempt charitable status in order to be eligible to administer any award. 

Other organisations that fit our eligibility criteria can be included in the application but cannot administer any award. You should clearly set out in your application who the different parties involved are, why you believe this project team is appropriate for the work you plan to deliver, and how you will work together.
