With its miniLED backlight, we’re hoping the 50-inch 50E8STUK can bring us contrast approaching what an OLED can achieve. The smaller bulbs in the backlight should increase the TV’s ability to control how the screen is lit. We’re expecting deep, almost three-dimensional blacks and piercing whites. If Hisense can get the colours and detail right, too, we’ll have a winner on our hands. Read our review to see how it got on.
