Which freezers can be used in a garage?
Members have asked about freezers that can be kept in a chilly garage, so we checked out the TZDA504FS (silver), the TZDA504FW (white), the TZDA629FS (silver), ZA130S (silver), and the ZA130W (white), five models that Beko says are designed for this.
How we test
While we test freezers in a range of room temperatures (10°C, 20°C and 32°C), we don’t usually recommend keeping freezers in rooms colder than this, such as a garage. This is because the air is normally too cold for the freezer to function properly and your food can start to defrost, but Beko says it has solved this problem.
We tested the freezers, above, in room temperatures of 5°C and -15°C and all models passed our tests with no problems.
See the individual reviews for our full test results of these models.
