Dishwasher reviews: Reliability
Every year we survey thousands of Which? members about any problems they've had with their home appliances to find out which brands are the most reliable. Here we reveal our results by showing you the most reliable dishwasher brands that should give you unrivalled service.
Dishwasher reliability
Brands including AEG/AEG Electrolux, Beko, Bosch, Hotpoint, Indesit, Miele, Neff, Siemens, Whirlpool and Zanussi/Zanussi-Electrolux are featured in our reliability table.
Three brands score more than 90% for reliability, but two big brands' reliability scores are poor. Bosch dishwashers seem to be a popular purchase, with 39% of respondents to our survey owning Bosch dishwashers.

Reliability and Best Buys
A dishwasher can qualify as a Best Buy if its brand scores at least three stars in our survey of thousands of owners – in which we ask how often their appliances have broken down - or it has a free 5-year warranty.
But as dishwashers are generally reliable, we also allow models to be Best Buys if we don’t yet have a reliability rating, unless we know this brand has a poor track record for similar appliances.
Common dishwasher problems
When we surveyed Which? members about the problems they'd encountered with their dishwashers, these were reported the most often:
- Not cleaning properly 7%
- Fittings 4%
- Not drying properly 3%.
