You want a fridge freezer that’ll cool your groceries fast, freeze quickly and hold a steady temperature, regardless of the weather outside. To see how well the models perform in everyday tasks, we meticulously measure how well food keeps its cool temperature, even in a power cut.
But there are some other practical things we test for.
We measure the internal capacity of the fridge freezer and see how easy it is to pack groceries into. Amazingly, models with the same outer dimensions can have internal capacities that vary by 20%.
We also measure the energy efficiency of each model to make sure you're not throwing your money away on fuel bills.
And we even test how loud it is in operation to make sure it won't wake you up in the middle of the night. This is something you probably won’t be able to detect if you’re inspecting the model in a store.
