CES 2011: Camcorders at CES 2011 Sony HDR-TD10 Handycam
The HDR-TD10 is Sony's new Full HD 3D Handycam camcorder. It's the world's first double full HD consumer camcorder, meaning it can record and display full resolution 3D images to both left and right eyes.
It weighs in at over 600g and feels slightly boxy, but this is down to Sony packing in literally two of everything. It has two lenses, double image processors and dual processors.

Full HD 3D recording
Usually 3D camcorder recordings halve the HD resolution, because half of the lines that make up the image are shown to one eye and half to the other. That's not the case with the HDR-TD10 - completely full HD images are alternately shown to each eye at playback. Active shutter lenses rapidly blink on and off to create more depth.
It can also record in Full HD 2Dvideo and playback 3D recordings in 2D. It features a 10x optical zoom and most intriguingly of all sports a 3.5-inch LCD display which displays 3D without the need for glasses.
