On paper, the Dell Inspiron 14z hits a sweet spot between budget laptops and more expensive ultra-portables. It's reasonably slim and at 2.05Kg reasonably light, but it's also reasonably powerful and affordable. If it's as good in the flesh, then Dell's 14-inch laptop might be a real contender.
