This dashboard displays data from our Sustainability Tracker, a yearly survey with around 2,000 UK adults a year, sampled and weighted to represent the UK population.

Energy usage

Since June 2023, we have asked UK adults what actions they take to reduce the amount of energy they use in their home. Additionally, this year we asked what they currently use as the main source to heat their home.

Heat pumps

Since June 2023, we have asked homeowners who do not currently have a heat pump whether they have heard of heat pumps as a home heating system before and, if so, whether they know what they are. Those who knew what they are were asked whether they would consider installing a heat pump in their home if they needed to replace their current heating system in the next 12 months and what would prevent them from installing a heat pump for their home.
