Which? welcomes the opportunity to respond to the CMA's consultation on the proposed decision to designate Apple and Google as having Strategic Market Status in the provision of their mobile platforms.

We support the CMA’s proposal. The evidence provided by the CMA to support these conclusions is overwhelming for both consumers and content providers. We appreciate the roadmaps the CMA has produced for both Apple and Google, however we believe the CMA could be more ambitious in its plans. Competition is not working well in these markets and, therefore, consumers will continue to suffer harm as long as the status quo remains as it is. We urge the CMA to consider whether it could act faster in implementing remedies.
