Which? comments as scams and fraud contribute to current account complaints

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:

“These latest findings are concerning, particularly off the back of Which? research that found some current account providers have security flaws on their websites and apps that put their customers at increased risk of falling victim to fraud.

“The government must press ahead with plans to make all banks and payment providers reimburse scam victims in the vast majority of cases and give the payments regulator responsibility for an enforcement regime with tough penalties for any firms that break the rules.”
