Which? comments on Eurostar cancellations

Rory Boland, Editor of Which? Travel, said:
“Thousands of travellers will be frustrated to have had their New Years Eve plans thrown into disarray because of train cancellations.
“While passengers are understanding that these cancellations are not the fault of Eurostar, many people are now going to find themselves out of pocket for significant amounts of money as they try to get to their destination.
“Those who have had their train cancelled have the option to exchange their booking or claim a refund or Eurostar e-voucher.
“The EU has ambitions to encourage people off planes onto trains, but to be successful consumer rights protections must be strengthened to offer at least the same level of cover as flights.”
