Which? comments on people’s right to a refund or exchange during the upcoming train strikes

1 min read
Lisa Webb, Which? Consumer Law Expert, said: "With the upcoming train strikes threatening widespread disruption for travellers, many people will be wondering what to do if they have purchased a ticket and are unable to make their journey as planned. "If you can't travel and you have an unused ticket, you should be able to cancel and get a fee-free refund. Depending on your operator, you may also be offered the option to use your ticket on an alternative date, exchange it at no extra charge or even use it with a different operator. A full refund also applies if you have started your journey but are unable to complete it due to delay or cancellations, and so have returned to your departure point." - ENDS - Notes to editors:
