Which? responds as Ofcom fines Virgin Media

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:
“It is shocking that Virgin Media has allowed vulnerable people to be cut off and potentially unable to reach their loved ones or emergency services when they need it most.
"Though it's right that Ofcom is holding Virgin Media to account for this, it's disappointing it has taken nearly two years.
“Failing to protect elderly and disabled customers through the UK’s digital migration is unacceptable. All telecom and telecare firms must work together to ensure vulnerable people are identified and robust safeguards are put in place so that no other vulnerable consumers are put at risk or left unsupported.”
