Which? responds to CMA findings from call for information on green heating and insulation
Sue Davies, Which? Head of Consumer Protection Policy, said:
"Many homeowners are looking for more efficient ways to keep their homes warm and cut their carbon emissions, such as installing insulation or solar panels. Unfortunately, these projects can be complicated and costly, and there is a risk that consumers may get misled or ripped off by traders, so it is vital the CMA takes strong action if its concerns about some businesses are confirmed.
"It is positive that the CMA has published guidance to help consumers when they are buying green heating and insulation products. However, there now needs to be swift progress in making it easier for consumers to find qualified and reliable installers and improving the government's support and protections for consumers in this sector."
