Which? responds to energy measures in October 2026 Budget

“Households are under severe pressure from the cost of energy bills. The measures in today’s Budget are a step towards giving consumers the support they need as we head into winter, but we would have liked to see the government go further.

“Looking beyond the Budget, long-term savings will depend on people being able to install insulation, solar panels, batteries and heat pumps. With cuts announced in the Warm Homes Plan, the government must now ensure that households are given clear support and protections to make home energy improvements with confidence.”
