Which? responds to Energy UK research on energy efficiency improvements
Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:
"Improving the insulation of homes helps to cut energy bills, improve levels of comfort and warmth and is good for the environment, but households will need support from government and businesses to overcome some of the significant barriers in making this transition to energy efficient homes.
"Support should include helping consumers to identify the right measures for their home, support with high upfront costs and a straightforward process to find qualified and reliable installers. To help households with some of the costly and complex decisions involved, the government should expand its public engagement campaign and information service, and link to accredited local and national One Stop Shops so that households have the advice and support they need."
