Which? responds to latest Kantar grocery price inflation figures
Sue Davies, Which? Head of Food Policy, said:
“While we continue to see inflation slowing, supermarket prices are significantly higher than they were this time last year and still going up. This is having devastating consequences as more people tell us they are skipping meals or turning to food banks to make ends meet as we head into Christmas.
“Supermarkets can help ease the huge financial burden faced by shoppers - especially families and those on low incomes - by putting affordable budget range essentials in expensive convenience stores. Which? research has found that these stores rarely, if ever, stock the cheapest products."
