Which? responds to slow progress on insulating homes adding £3.2bn to UK energy bills

1 min read

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:

"Our 2023 research found that only 14 per cent of households have made improvements to their home's insulation in the last five years.

"Making homes more energy-efficient by installing low-carbon heating systems and improving insulation will lead to lower bills at a time of heightened energy costs.

"The next government should take steps to help consumers make these changes such as; help in identifying the right measures for their home, support with high upfront costs and a straightforward process to find qualified and reliable installers."
